I was an early enthusiast

for U.B.I. (Universal Basic Income),
and, like carping, snobbish Juvenal, have led
a  frugal yet rich life of active and cultivated
unemployment,
but, unlike poor Juvenal,
supported by a weekly Dole administered
by a generous, though disliked nation-state.

for the very good reason that dogs are beautiful

and should have a daily allowance of minced kitten.
